Power Phase Begins

The new Efit Power Phase is on the whiteboard and it looks like it might as well be called PAIN!

I remember the first time I was introduced to an accelerated training program (the kind that really produce results) and I thought the guy who was describing it was crazy. He had written in his newsletter that the idea was to become “comfortable with discomfort”. I thought that was the worst way to describe a fitness program to someone who was trying to get in shape and lose some fat around the middle. BUT when I saw my first results from the program I was really blown away.

If you workout hard, eat well, and recover you will definitely see results. The key is to workout hard. Not just sweat. Anybody can sweat. But to truly challenge yourself and try your best each and every time… this is one of the keys to fitness that most of us miss. The workout must be very challenging and that is exactly what we have to offer at Efit. Fortunately there are cool people in the class to share the pain and a competent instructor to make sure you are doing everything right which makes it all easier.

Well, easier to get through anyway.

The new class features two of the latest of our new “toys”: The rope and the Sandbags. We are looking forward to showing you the new style and working you through the new Power Phase of the program! Below is the workout and you can check it out on the whiteboard when you come by the club.

1. ROWER:  15 SEC. OFF (24 SPM OR STOP)—15 SEC. ON ( 34 SPM \ SPRINT) X 20

2. BIKE: 15 SEC. OFF (GEAR 4/8 REST)—–15 SEC. ON (GEAR 14/20 SPRINT AND SEATED) X20

3. KRANKER     15 SEC. OFF—15 SEC. ON X 20 (CYCLE …10 FORWARD/ 10 BACK)

4. LADDER  15 SEC. OFF (NO CLIMBING) —-15 SEC. ON (90/120 SPM….SPRINT) X20

5. ROPE  15 SEC. OFF—15 SEC. ON (DOUBLE ARM) X 5—15 SEC.ON–15 SEC. OFF (ALT ARMS) X5

6. STRENGTH BAG     SQUATS  15 SEC. OFF—15 SEC ON X 10
